Eastgate Baptist Church C.O.P.S Program
One of the outreach efforts of Eastgate Baptist Church is a program called C.O.P.s
C.O.P.s stands for Community Outreach Program.
The goal is to get the Gospel to our area starting with our "Jerusalem" first.
Our first goal is to build a relationship with our neighbors or build a bridge.
We begin by selecting a community near our Church. We then pray for this
community and Claim that territory for our LORD.
Our target is to reach at least 400 homes annually.
This territory is then equally divided among our C.O.Ps members.
Then they claim their Territory for our LORD and this becomes their
mission field or "Harvest Site"
We meet several times a year and discuss how to best reach our community.
This involves several mailings each year to announce special events in
our church, inviting them to attend our church and asking if we can be of any help to them.
Another goal is to personally visit each "Harvest Site" once during the year.
This is in obediance to the Great Commission with the prayer and desire
to see people SAVED!
